Bondi House

Francis House, a knock-down and rebuild in Bondi, presented a number of challenges including a a narrow site with an attached dwelling on the eastern side and public walkway on the western side. The design features a private central courtyard that allows for abundant natural light and ventilation to all living spaces. The courtyard also allows connections both vertically and horizontally throughout the house. A bespoke copper blade wall, which will age over time, wraps around the house to define the courtyard and outdoor terraces.
